Position Description: The Respiratory Therapist (RRT I) is accountable for performing patient care activities and other tasks that contribute to high-quality, safe, and effective patient care. The RRT I is responsible for executing protocols, administering respiratory care, and educating patients, families, students, and other care providers regarding cardio-respiratory topics, medications, equipment, and procedures.
Position Qualifications:
Required:
- Associate Degree in Respiratory Care (or equivalent military training program)
- BLS certification (within 30 days of hire)
- ACLS and PALS/NRP certifications (within 6 months of hire)
- Respiratory Therapist (RT) license from the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts
- RRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) (within 12 months of employment)
Preferred:
- HIGHLY preferred- NICU, PICU, Trauma, ED, or Heart Center experience
- Six months of experience in critical care
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Respiratory Care or related field
- Additional education or work experience in respiratory therapy
- Experience in clinical instruction of students

· Full Time position – 100% Smart Square Self Scheduling
Compensation Detail:
