Job Title: REGIONAL VP OF OPERATIONS
Reports to: CEO
Position Summary
The Regional VP of Operations is an organization leader who is accountable for the profitable and sustainable performance of the companies within the region. They are responsible for the planning, direction, and coordination of activities of the region’s companies to achieve financial performance metrics and organizational goals. A successful VP of Operations will engage the Local Partner Teams to grow their business, and accurately and consistently deliver best-in-class operations.
Key Deliverables
- Identify opportunities and execute plans for capitalizing on them
- Achieve Revenue, Gross Margin, and EBITDA budgets
- Align companies within the region to Crete’s overall strategic direction
Position Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations within the region..
- Define and implement operations strategy, structure, and processes to achieve financial and growth objectives.
- Monitor performance to proactively identify efficiency issues, determine and execute solutions.
- Provide leadership and strategic direction regarding all operational functions across our portfolio of Local Partner businesses in the region.
- Coach and train our Local Partner leaders to ensure optimized workflows and labor efficiency.
- Develop and direct strategies to achieve goals and capitalize on efficiency gains.
- Develop and manage financial budgets to achieve growth and accurately forecast performance.
- Review estimating and pricing activity to ensure best value solutions at highest attainable margins.
- Coordinate support to operations through the region.
- Team development resulting in a written career path and succession plan for each person.
- Customer development and customer satisfaction for repeat and recurring revenues.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all phases of operations.
- Act as Interim General Manager as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field.
- 7 or more years’ experience in Commercial HVAC and MEP operations management.
- 3 or more years of P&L responsibility of at least $20MM in the industry.
- 5 or more years of management of 10 or more direct or in-direct reports.
- Proven experience as a successful team leader.
- Multi-team management experience.
- Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of fundamental business principles.
- Demonstrated ability to set overall strategy and drive process improvement.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and build a consensus in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication skills; client-facing communication experience required.
- Analytical problem-solving skills with an impeccable attention to detail.
- Strategic, process-oriented thinker with strong work ethic and proactive decision-making ability.
- Self-motivated and able to execute in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to generate accurate, consistent, and timely work product.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, trade ERP experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to travel (up to 50%).

- Competitive base up to $200,000 (DOE) and performance-based bonus/commission structure.
