THE HARRISON COUNTY HOME
JOB TITLE: RN/LPN
JOB SUMMARY: RN/LPN is an essential position and is non-exempt. Nursing professionals must be first and foremost qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm.
RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES: The responsibilities and duties of the RN/LPN include: Medical/Health software system “PointClickCare” input all documentation forms necessary for all residents, have a face sheet for each resident through “PointClickCare” (must know how to use an iPad for taking resident pictures to input using the app); attentive to the residents in health and safety needs, understand the residents capabilities and physical needs, check the residents vital signs, observe resident’s under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc., check wounds and clean and dress the wound, administer prescribed medications, communicate with the resident’s doctor and family to provide and release information, adhere to the policies and procedures, attend meetings and training sessions and follow other instruction as presented; encourage job focus and teamwork among staff; develop and maintain strong appropriate relationships with staff and residents; be a positive influence on staff and residents at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS: Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent, complete a one-year training program and have an active state nursing license. Should be compassionate towards patients and have strong communication skills when asked a question by staff over client care situations. Must be able to successfully complete a background check and a 6-month probationary period.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
