Collects, analyzes, and tracks data to ensure compliance with the Head Start Program Performance standards. Monitors communication systems that ensure accurate program information is recorded and reported, and uses a management information system to generate service area summaries and reports. Develops and reviews program processes and policies to ensure compliance is met and best practices are supported throughout all Fairfax County Head Start programs (Head Start, Early Head Start, and Early Head Start in Family Child Care) at both the grantee and delegate level. Facilitates Service Area team meetings and provides support in planning and program management to Head Start Division Director. Works under supervision of the Head Start Division Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following:

Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a degree in early childhood education, psychology, social work, or a closely related field; plus four years of professional experience in child care administration, early childhood education, or related human service administration. A master's degree may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
Valid Driver's License.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, a Child Protective Services Registry check, a driving record check, and sanction screening to the satisfaction of the employer. A TB screening upon hire and annually thereafter.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:-
Master’s degree in early childhood education or a related human services degree.

Four (4) years of professional early childhood or human services work with demonstrated knowledge of early childhood development and appropriate practices that support positive social, emotional and cognitive development.

Demonstration of aptitude or potential for the performance of supervisory duties through favorable appraisal/evaluation by a supervisor indicating the possession of supervisory potential.

Five (5) years of management and leadership experience with program supervisory duties for a diverse team of content area managers.

Experience developing strategies and plans that align with school readiness goals.

Comprehensive experience developing and implementing new program initiatives.

Experience managing diverse funding streams including state and federal grants.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Incumbent may be required to do some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of items up to 25 pounds. Ability to operate keyboard-driven equipment. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Sufficiently mobile to attend meetings at various locations and make presentations to county staff and community.
