The Director of Children’s Ministry will provide overall visioning and leadership for the Children’s Ministry activities and events, for ages one through eleven (preK-5th grade). Responsibilities will include planning and coordination of activities plus recruiting, organizing, and training volunteer staff and tracking for the budgetary needs of the program. The Dir. of Children’s Ministry will report to the Senior Pastors and works with a volunteer Children’s Council.
The featured Children’s Ministry events are the Kids Worship Live on Sunday mornings, and Kids Connection on Wed. evenings. The Dir. of Children’s Ministry also has primary leadership for the Easter Egg Hunt, the Halloween Fall Festival (Trunk or Treat) and Vacation Bible School in the summer. The Director will work with other church ministries and volunteers to coordinate and implement these events to ensure their success in reaching out into the community with Christ’s love.

Job Type: Part-time: 24 hours per week
Salary: $17.50 per hour
Schedule:
· Sunday mornings and Wed. evenings. Tues. morning staff meetings. The rest is flexible.

Experience:
· 3 or more years’ experience coordinating, leading, and planning children’s programs.
· 1 year experience recruiting, training, and motivating volunteer leaders and teachers to participate in children’s ministries and events.
· Experience working with a children’s ministry is a plus.
