Overview:
The purpose of this job is to assist in monitoring the condition and assessing the risk in the bank’s commercial loan portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Review corporate and individual borrowing relationships within prescribed ranges for credit quality and risk level, underwriting standards, lending practices, adequacy of financial and collateral documentation, timely and accurate risk ratings and adherence to OCC guidelines and bank policy (includes work paper documentation).

Prepare complete, well documented, and accurate and timely write ups individual credit relationships (including financial, collateral, and loan policy listings).

As required, assist in conducting reviews and preparing reports that effectively communicate findings in the various segments of the bank’s portfolio.

Perform specific reviews of certain subsets of the loan portfolio

Participate in Merger and Acquisition credit risk evaluation

Review large and complex borrowers for credit quality, underwriting standards, compliance with lending policy, OCC guidelines, and Federal Banking Laws and Regulations.

Lead major reviews for credit quality of large subsets of the loan portfolio

Complete reports for all departments and banks reviewed on a timely basis.

Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Four-year college education preferred

6-8 years of loan review, credit underwriting and analysis, commercial lending and/or regulatory (OCC, FDIC, etc) experience

Must be willing to travel on a limited basis

Knowledge of financial statements

Strong analytical skills to interpret financial information

Strong computer skills (Work and Excel)

Knowledge of banking regulatory requirements

Knowledge of local market conditions

Knowledge of the RE appraisal regulations

Knowledge of Uniform Commercial Code related to secured transactions.
