Job Description
Downingtown Academy Learning Center is a daycare center in the Downingtown area with 100 children capacity. Downingtown Academy Learning Center provides daycare services and developmental programs for children from birth to twelve years of age.
Below is the job scope of the assistant Director:
- Develop a curriculum and program: The Assistant Director will support Director to work closely with the center’s teachers and staff, creating learning plans or programs to meet state and federal requirements and parent’s expectations.
- Oversee staff: The Assistant Director will help Center Director interview, hire and train staff, making sure that all background and fingerprint checks have been conducted.
- Manage facilities: The Assistant Director will work together with Center Director to make sure that the facility is safe and well-stocked. That includes checking that safety equipment is available and working, removing hazards and ensuring the facility is always clean and orderly.
- Market the facility: to help Center Director build up a marketing plan to promote awareness of the facility and its services.
- Meeting up with parents and teachers: Center Director and Assistant Director will meet with parents and teachers to keep parents up-to-date on their child’s development and progress, including discussing ways to address any learning or behavioral issues.
Preferred:
- Related early childhood education/child development college course work
- 24 months of professional teaching experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
