Green Hills is conducting a search for a Dining Room Service Manager.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Dining Room Service Manager is responsible for Food and Beverage Service to members and their guests in all Club areas. We seek a warm, proactive, experienced, and energetic leader who can distinguish when necessary to be hands-on and lead by example. The Dining Room Service Manager will ensure the service team reflects the Club's core service values, anticipates, and exceeds all member and guest hospitality expectations. Having a super positive and in-service attitude with a member-centric approach is a must. In addition, working collaboratively with the Executive Chef and the other Club managers is critical to this role's success. The Dining Room Service Manager is one of the primary conduits between Club members and dining room team members, so being highly visible and engaging is essential.The Dining room Service Manager will train staff in all levels of service protocols, including Casual, Fine Dining, Bar and Beverage Service, Special Member Events and Banquet Operations.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
The capacity to accommodate a flexible work schedule and the ability to work weekends, and holidays.
A four-year college degree in Hospitality or the equivalent of 4 years progressive work experience in food service.
Five years of Dining Room Manager and Banquet experience for a private club or equivalent experience
A proven track record for an exceptional in-service work approach with outstanding interpersonal, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
Demonstrated experience in all aspects of personnel management, including hiring, daily supervision, development of results-oriented team, timesheet approval, preparation of performance reviews, development of training materials, scheduling, and career planning.
A proven record of training staff in all levels of service protocols, including casual, fine dining bar and beverage service, special member events and banquet operations.
Serves as a liaison between the dining room, banquet, and kitchen personal.
Established financial skills in budgeting and understanding budget vs actual reports.
Provide initial and continuous training of all new and current employees in overall steps of service and Food/Wine knowledge.
Proficient in point-of-sale software, having Jonas POS experience is desired.
A sound working knowledge of Microsoft office applications including Outlook and Teams.
Serve Safe Certification
RBS Alcohol Certification
Manager Food Handlers Permit or must be obtained within 3 months of employment.
PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Mostly indoor temperatures. Outdoor service area during summer and fall months. Various floor surfaces and stairs. Chemicals, mechanical and electrical present with noise and heat from cooking appliances.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Extensive and continuous standing and walking. Ability to reach with hands and arms above/below waist level and reaching at torso level. Able to lift, pull and push up to 75 pounds. Nonimpaired vision and hearing is required. The vision requirement includes the ability to adjust focus, peripheral vision, and close vision. Fingering and grasping. Sit, stoop, kneel, climb, and crouch. Verbal and written English communication.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
This is an exempt position. Salary will be based on experience and within the range of $75,000 - $85,000 with the potential to earn an additional bonus.
