We are seeking a Bilingual Licensed Lead Clinician to supervise a team of 4 clinicians for our 50 bed residential program for unaccompanied minors.
The Lead Clinician is responsible for the day to day operations of the clinical department. The Lead Clinician is responsible for providing mental health assessment and counseling intervention services, as well as continually monitoring and documenting clients’ mental well-being and overall adjustment to the program. The clinician’s functions are performed as part of a multi-disciplinary team and include development and implementation of client therapeutic plans, facilitating transfers, and reunification planning. The Lead Clinician will be responsible to manage and supervise a team of up to four clinicians and will maintain a caseload when and if needed, no more than 12 clients. The Lead Clinician works closely with the Program Director, Lead Case Manager, Assistant Program Director and other related departments within the LTFC Program. The Lead Clinician is required to maintain a flexible, organized and efficient work schedule and is subject to work extended hours, weekends, and be on-call as needed.
Key Functions:
Coordinate clinical services by providing oversight, supervision, and training of staff clinicians, monitoring clinical services documentation, and developing and maintaining ongoing partnerships with community-based providers.
Complete monthly supervision and maintain appropriate documentation of clinicians as well as annual performance appraisals.
Responsible for addressing clinicians’ performance issues in a timely manner and maintaining documentation of conversations. Must adhere to VisionQuest disciplinary action policy and procedures.
Ensure the development of clinician work schedules and recommend approval of personal leave requests, punch edits, holiday leave requests, and/or sick leave requests to the Program Director or designee. Responsible for ensuring that all clinical functions are covered when clinicians are on PTO, Sick Time or Call Outs.
Conduct intake, admission, and diagnostic assessments with clients, and document results according to VisionQuest standards. Ensure the timely completion of (assessments) Initial Intake, Emergency Placement, and Individual Service Plans in accordance with VisionQuest, State, and Federal requirements. Additional assessments may be required depending on the need of the case. Forms are subject to change at any time
Collaborate with treatment team members and clients to develop treatment plans
Provide weekly one-to-one counseling and crisis intervention as needed
Facilitate psycho-educational and therapeutic client groups
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in social work OR a Master’s degree or Ph.D. in psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science in which clinical experience is a program requirement
Must have supervisory experience
Must be licensed in the State of Arizona to provide clinical services
Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
Must clear all background checks, TB and drug test
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
May lift and carry up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds infrequently.
Performs tasks that may involve standing or walking 50% of the day; sitting 50%of the day.
May bend, stoop, reach and grasp as necessary.
