Position Summary
TRSS is a small (~300 person), dynamic, technology-heavy, security-focused environment where members of the IT team contribute in a variety of areas. All team members perform helpdesk support for onsite and remote employees, help maintain various network systems, and contribute to the implementation of new systems. After hours support and system maintenance is required at times. This position will primarily support Windows-based systems and networking. Office 365 support and administration, including Exchange Online, Sharepoint Online, Teams, Power Automate, and AzureAD. Apple iOS, Mac, Linux, VMware and Cisco skills are a big plus.
Responsibilities
Day-to-day desktop and phone support for onsite and remote users – core hours 9-5, M-F
Provisioning and shipping of user laptops and phones and the associated accounts
Troubleshooting networking issues such as VPN connection problems
Work well both independently and with teammates
Communicate well with users and teammates, including documentation
Research solutions to problems and document solutions
Assist in project work from LAN maintenance to office expansion and more
Perform after-hours maintenance and support as needed
Required Skills
Support Windows 10
Support Office 365 suites including Exchange-based e-mail and Teams chat
Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory
Familiarity with administration of Office 365 and AzureAD
Design, implement, and support collaboration solutions within Office 365 using Sharepoint, Power Automate, Teams, and Outlook
Support Apple iOS devices and mobile device management (Microsoft Endpoint Manager)
Support Amazon Workspaces and other virtual machine scenarios
Handle tickets, inventory, and helpdesk-related documentation
Able to follow detailed procedures
Able to manage time
Active Directory user and computer account management
Bachelor’s degree in computer-related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of three years IT-related experience
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Bonus Skills
Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure management
VMware vSphere virtualization suite and VMware Workstation
Strong security background including endpoint and network firewalls, antimalware software, security baselines (STIG, CIS, etc), application whitelisting
Linux, Apache and Tomcat management
PowerShell scripting
Linux shell
