Job Description

The Corporates Partnerships & Alliances team at Thomson Reuters is responsible for end-to-end lifecycle management of strategic partnerships. From strategy development, through assessment, recruitment, negotiation, onboarding, launch and ongoing management; the Corporates Partnerships and Alliances team oversees numerous partnerships working collaboratively in a variety of commercial models.

The Director of Consulting and Channel Programs is responsible for leading a team of Partner Managers and Associates focused on supporting partners who provide clients consulting services relating to Thomson Reuters products & services. To be successful in this role they will engage with partners, peers, and stakeholders; working collaboratively to maximize sales contribution through the Consulting Partner and Channel Programs.

Location: remote based position, can be based in US or Canada.

About the Role

In this opportunity you will:

  • Be responsible for meeting and exceeding defined sales targets in relation to partner sourced opportunities
  • Proactively manage and report on partner driven opportunity pipeline
  • Define Objectives and Key Results for both individual partners and group production, overseeing execution against those metrics
  • Provide routine forecast updates to executive leadership team and support monthly/quarterly business reviews on ongoing basis
  • Develop strategies for optimizing the day-to-day management of a stable of partners with varying levels of contribution
  • Collaborate with Product and Segment Marketing to execute partner demand generation initiatives
  • Collaborate with Training and Partner Enablement to establish baseline knowledge materials to support marketing, sales, implementation and/or support efforts
  • Work with Sales leaders, managers and contributors to coordinate partner efforts and maximize sales sourced from partner referrals
  • Engage with Partners and Product Management to identify roadmap enhancements
  • Address challenges and issues arising from partner engagement; minimizing customer impact while balancing stakeholder needs and expectations
  • Support partner recruitment, identifying fruitful partner communities and coordinate onboarding of newly signed partners

About You

You are a candidate for this opportunity if you have:

  • 10+ years experience in a similar role in Alliance or Partner Management, relationship management or related field experience
  • Proven track record to drive sales through partnership channels across technology and services industries
  • Partner-oriented mindset; the ability to listen to partners and consistently follow through on commitments
  • Collaborative personality; comfortable working across many functions and teams
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent relationship building and influencing skills.
  • Expert technology acumen; deep understanding of current technology trends and market drivers
  • Expert business case and financial modeling skills
  • Ability to effectively navigate and perform in dynamic environments and periodically travel to meet with partners or attend partner events
