Position Overview
The Account Manager’s main responsibility is to manage the sales channel with residential representatives and large dealer networks. This includes working closely with the Residential Inside Sales Manager and Residential National Sales Manager to support and manage the dealer network.
Essential Job Functions
Your job functions also include providing outstanding customer service to the dealers and representatives and developing personal connections with key accounts. Additionally, you will drive process improvements and accountability within the sales team, and work with the Residential Inside Sales Manager to ensure that individual sales employees are meeting expectations.
You will also proactively manage delivery expectations and troubleshoot any issues that may arise, as well as managing the quoting process from start to completion. Finally, you will follow up with clients for past due invoices to ensure timely payment and maintain positive relationships with customers.
Overall, your role as an Account Manager is crucial in ensuring that the sales channel runs smoothly and effectively with residential representatives and large dealer networks. You will need to have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts.
Competencies
- Must possess and demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. For both phone and email communication.
- Proficient in using MS Office, CRM. Prefer experience with ERP systems but not required.
- Team player, self-motivated, positive disposition, and problem-solver
- Strong time management skills including prioritizing short- and long-term objectives and can work well under pressure
- Ability to get up to speed quickly with proprietary applications and emerging technology.
- Balanced ability to dive into details and think strategically.
- Must be well organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
- Some mechanical knowledge would be helpful but not required
Required Education
- Associates Degree or Bachelor’s preferred
Experience
- 2-3 years experience in sales, channel sales, or manufacturing.
- Knowledge in ZOHO One & Epicor preferred but not required.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $65,500 per year + Commission
