Position Title: Auto Damage Appraiser
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Insurance Damage Appraiser or motivated experienced auto body technician
interested in training for a career path in appraising damaged vehicles (automobiles, trucks, and heavy
equipment). Job requires field inspection and on-site appraisals, working in a team environment within
timeline requirements.
Essential Functions
To perform this job successfully, candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:

Appraise damaged vehicles and other equipment

Prepare damage estimates
-
Report to adjuster or carriers as needed
-
Respond timely to phone calls & client servicing
-
Negotiate total loss settlements. (Will train)
-
Audit and dispute subrogation. (Will train).
Competencies
-
1-3 years of insurance appraisal / estimating experience.
-
Instead of the above, a combined total of five years relevant work experience in auto body repair.

Heavy equipment / Commercial vehicle knowledge is helpful

Proficient with using computer technology including CCC/Mitchell/Audatex estimating and claim

systems, MS Office 365

Occasional travel to outer islands.

Excellent client servicing and customer service skills

Ability to meet timeline requirements

Organized and attentive to details

Team player

Personal vehicle and driver’s license

Hawaii independent adjuster’s license – If not already licensed, the company will provide study

materials and cover the cost to take the exam and process license application

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, with flexible work shift within the Company flex schedules, and as approved by department manager.
