Director of Human Resources:
Job Description Overview:
Enhances the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
- Actively lead in the recruitment process for acquiring new talent.
- Prepares employees for the construction season by planning, executing, and organizing a re-hire meeting to discuss benefits, and other human resource related matters.
- Implements employee benefits programs including the 401K, ESOP, health, dental, vision, and other company sponsored benefits.
- Enforces management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
- Retains and maintains historical human resource records within Bamboo HR.
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records, and representing the organization at hearings.
- Handle the employee onboarding process for all employees, ensuring compliance with all standards is maintained.
- Manages a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluation; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; and recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.
- Responsible for necessary environmental reporting as required.
- Maintain compliance with EEO / AA standards.
- Work with insurance brokers for various aspects of insurance for the company.
- DOT Knowledge for CDL drivers
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience.
- Proven ability to engage executive leadership to support strategic human resource and business goals.
- Thorough knowledge of employment related laws and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft office suite or related software.
- Knowledge of and experience with various human resource information systems (Bamboo and Foundation).
- Knowledge of group benefits and compensation programs.
