Mechanical General Foreman
The Mechanical General Foreman will provide continuous oversight of execution of maintenance work, communication any deviations to work, communication any deviations to work schedules, insure noted improvements to the execution process are clearly communicated, and necessary closure and reliability data is promptly inputted for each job. This is accomplished by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Run/supervise a crew of mechanical crafts.
- Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
- Troubleshoots, repairs and installs industrial mechanical equipment.
- Tests, repairs or installs mechanical units, such as water pumps, fuel pumps, governors, distributors, carburetors systems, brakes, clutches and other such devices.
- Replaces bearings, chains, sprockets and a variety of other machine parts.
- Rebuilds pumps, cylinders, and various mechanical equipment as necessary following standard operating procedures
- Fabricates repair parts if necessary
- Place conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
- Aid during emergencies by operating floodlights and generators, placing flares, and driving needed vehicles.
- Capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds, climb stairs, climb ladders, and stand for long periods of time.
- Must be capable of working outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required for this Position:
Education: no minimum education requirements.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role.
Must pass drug screen and background check, as condition of employment.
This is a fulltime maintenance opportunity. There is no per diem and no relocation funding.
