The Director of Sales Development supports the organization in a key leadership and growth position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Support and coordinate with VP of Business Development and SVP of Government Relations on Los Angeles market development, client development, and general market maintenance.

Support sales teams on marketing or technical approaches for clean energy technologies to commercial and public customers including overseeing the development of and presenting financing and business cases.

Communicates with clients on new opportunities, priorities, and approaches to program delivery.

Coordinate, support, and build a diverse set of partners including consultants, subcontractors, community-based organizations, and non-profit organizations to support project and program implementation.

Lead equitable approaches to meet and exceed contract requirements and foster a culture of diverse business partnerships across multiple internal business lines including but not limited to the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion working groups.

Job Requirements / Qualifications:

Deep familiarity and experience working with Los Angeles agencies and organizations
-
Background in clean energy engineering, sales, or project finance
-
Passion for the clean energy economy and energy transition

Bachelor's degree or equivalent
-
Master’s degree or equivalent preferred

Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience

Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks to ensure timely delivery of high-quality deliverables

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders while delivering excellent customer service in a highly dynamic growth environment

Strategic thought partner who excels in listening, influencing, communicating, and partnering effectively with all levels within the organization

Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, evolving, entrepreneurial work environment

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and one or more project management information systems, such as Salesforce or Asana

Ability to travel up to 20% of the time. Travel may include various means of transportation including automobile, public transportation, rail, and airplane

Work Location: Remote Southern California base (Los Angeles/Orange County metro area)
