Job Summary:
Applies expertise in programming procedures to complex programs; recommends the redesign of programs; investigates and analyzes feasibility of program requirements and develops programming specifications. Analyzes needs, designs, writes and tests new programs and applications. Assigned programs typically affect a broad area or highly complex system. Plans the full range of programming actions to produce several interrelated but different products from numerous and diverse data elements which are usually from different sources; solves complex programming problems. Works independently under specified objectives; applies knowledge of pertinent system software, hardware, work processes, regulations and management practices, apprising supervisor about progress and unusual complications. Modifies and adapts precedent solutions and proven approaches.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Develops, modifies, and maintains complex programs. Monitors the operation of assigned programs and responds to problems by diagnosing and correcting errors in logic and coding.

Develops special programs, such as a critical path analysis program to assist in managing a special project.

Reviews user requirements and needs for new software and performs analysis, design, implementation, installation, and training related to new software developed and/or acquired.

Analyzes and plans systems based on consultations with management and/or staff. Document system plan and establishes an implementation schedule.

Designs and documents systems based on analysis results and further consultation with management and staff.

Develops databases, programs and procedures necessary to integrate and/or implement the system. Tests system fully to determine its operational reliability.

Documents system for user department and ITS conforming to company standards.

Assists user and operating areas in implementing and supporting systems including system installation, training and troubleshooting.

Carries out fact-finding and program analysis of problems; determines most appropriate procedures to resolve.

Provides technical advice and support to users. This includes creating ad-hoc reports, data analysis and correction, training and problem solving.

Requirements:
- Ability to implement and test new features and help maintain and support existing functionality on a rapidly growing ASP.NET MVC SaaS product built using a Microsoft tech stack and deployed on Azure

Additional technologies include jQuery, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Entity Framework, SQL, and Microsoft Azure

Deliver high quality, well written code that is quickly understood, efficiently supported, testable, and easily maintained by others

Design simple and intuitive user experiences and contribute thoughtful ideas to continuously improve and refine applications

Help build a suite of unit tests and participate in developer peer code reviews

Knowledge of ASP.NET Framework technology architecture, the software development life cycle, cloud technologies, software as a service (SaaS) and product and platform configurations

Collaborate closely with team members to review and assess business requirements, and to develop technical project plans and time estimates

Communicate updates, progress and risks to all internal stakeholders, assist with external communications as requested

Be an active participant in various internal status meetings held as needed

Support: handling of critical/major bugs, security issues, performance issues, etc.

Bachelor’s degree in computer related discipline preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
