With the supervision of the CPCO and support from the HR Generalist, the Employee Relations Specialist will assist with maintaining programs focused on employee relations, compliance and accountability. The ERS will be required to exercise sound judgment, tact, and discretion to perform moderately complex, diverse, and confidential duties in support of MOCA’s Human Resources program. Additionally, the ERS will plan, coordinate, and carry out general and complex administrative tasks to support the People & Culture team.
Rate: $65,000-68,000 annual salary
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO IN THIS ROLE:
Act as the initial point of contact for Human Resources questions in the museum, determining when the involvement of the HR Generalist or CPCO is appropriate.
Carry out HR processes including but not limited to onboarding/offboarding, HR system and database management, employee file management, maintaining staff directory and managing job postings.
Partner with the HR Gen in the development and facilitation of new-employee training programs, including but not limited to harassment prevention and occupational safety
Partner with the HR Gen in developing, facilitating and updating (as needed) MOCA’s New Employee Orientation.
Coordinate management training in interviewing, hiring, progressive discipline, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, and grievance response.
Coordinate administration of all Leave of Absence requests and processes including transitional work and accommodations.
Facilitate open enrollment and other benefits related programs as directed.
Facilitate performance review program to ensure compliance and equity within the organization.
Participate in employee recognition efforts in coordination with HR Gen, and CPCO to include offering recommendations and facilitating staff events.
