The Strategic Mission & Technologies - Mission Engineering (SMT-ME) team has an opening for an experienced, energetic, resourceful, and friendly Business Administrator (BA) to assist with the support of one Principal Program Manager, their team, and stretch project(s).
The ideal candidate is someone who can change directions quickly within a fast-paced environment and can embrace a challenge head on with a calm sense of urgency, positive attitude, confidence, and professionalism. Additionally, in our team, as a BA you will also be responsible for interactions with l with customers and their administrators, partners, and all levels within Microsoft.
You must be able to maintain a cool and focused persona, accommodate different work styles, demonstrate sound and consistent judgment, make timely decisions in relatively complex situations, and set priorities among multiple projects. Lastly, attributes needed for this role are high detail-orientation, ability to successfully multi-task, and provide consistent and timely follow-through. As well as demonstrating integrity and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
The right candidate will have demonstrated work experience in a fast-paced environment, the ability to design and deliver against a plan, manage time to ensure deadlines are met, prioritize deliverables of multiple projects within a dynamically changing workload. Additionally, demonstrate strong communications skills in a global environment and work collaboratively with teams from various disciplines.
Key priorities include but are not limited to:

Proactively and strategically manage leader’s calendar, resulting in them staying focused on their business priorities, working efficiently, and ensuring they are fully prepared and timely for meetings.

Anticipate needs; make administrative decisions and requests for information on behalf of the leader based on understanding of business group priorities.

Procurement of office supplies and equipment for team and new hires.

Partner with support staff across the organization to ensure consistent experiences with heavy emphasis on onboarding from end to end.

Manage domestic and international travel logistics, trip preparation and expense reporting.

Collaborate with other SMT-ME admins on administrative projects and team asks

Manage space allocated to your team; walk the space, timely updating space discrepancies and placing moves

Own budget tracking and cascading team spend to your leader’s leadership team
Required Qualifications:
-
3+ years Administrative, Business Support, or customer service experience in an environment with an emphasis on scheduling meetings/events, travel management, and basic administration work.

Associate's/Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Human Resources [HR], Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Sociology)

OR equivalent experience.

1+ year(s) experience reviewing and managing administrative budgets (e.g., for events, morale, travel, training).
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Business Support ATR-C - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $22.79 - $39.66 per hour. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $33.03 - $45.91 per hour.
