Join the BrownWinick IP Team! SUMMARY: Performs a variety of administrative duties for assigned attorneys including scheduling, reviewing email, developing to-do lists, tracking completion of projects, ghost-writing communications, planning, assisting with marketing efforts, docketing deadlines, handling internal and external communications, etc. A key to success in this role will be the ability to learn assigned attorneys’ practice and anticipate the assigned attorneys’ needs to help provide deliverables. There will be the opportunity to help with patent, trademark, copyright and other legal filings. Then new hire will work in a strong team environment and work closely with the paralegal(s) and other legal assistant(s). The new hire will maintain positive contact with clients, attorneys and staff and observe confidentiality of client matters. Executive assistant and/or legal assistant experience a plus. Intellectual property and/or litigation experience a plus.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: College degree and two years of progressively responsible legal assistant, paralegal or executive assistant experience. Experience related to trademark, copyright or patent prosecution or registration, and/or related to litigation would be highly useful in this position, but not required. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
