Wylander, a recruiting company for the disaster restoration industry, is recruiting a Bookkeeper/Office Manager for a full-service restoration company located in Tampa, FL.

The Bookkeeper/Office Manager (OM) is responsible for performing and managing the day-to-day Accounting and Administration functions of the company. The OM will also be responsible for processing payroll, handling general human resource duties, and investigating ways to improve profitability. This person should be a self-starter, with excellent computer skills for handling accounting and finance data.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately invoice clients and manage accounts payable
- Manage the company’s checking accounts and cash flows
- Reconcile the company’s checking accounts monthly
- Prepare bank deposits
- Collect overdue accounts receivable
- Accurately prepare the company’s payroll
- Accurately prepare and file required payroll tax and government reports and forms on time
- Prepare financial reports in an accurate and timely manner
- Direct and coordinate the company's financial planning and budget management functions
- Manage the preparation of financial reports and forecasts
- Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget
- Oversee daily operations of the Finance department
- Ensure compliance with local, state/provincial, and federal reporting requirements
- Work with other department heads, executives, and owners to develop and execute the strategic plan
- Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of the company
- Provide recommendations for process and procedure improvements
- Duties related to human resources
- Insurance & Licensing renewals
- TPA credentialing
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of full charge bookkeeping experience, restoration and/or construction experience required
- An associates degree or higher is a plus
- Proficient in QuickBooks
- Proficient in MS Office Suite including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Expert knowledge and understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles
- Strong quantitative, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of the key drivers of profitability, including experience providing analysis with actionable steps for operations
- Strong computer skills
- Proven strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to meet stringent deadlines and work independently
