DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES - Essential for this position:
- Consult with and advise members on 1st Mortgage product options to educate and guide them through the mortgage process, produce complete and accurate first mortgage applications, and advise them on best PSECU mortgage products including Equity products.
- Use credit union resources to qualify members, originate applications, and print necessary documents to disclose and fully represent the variety of PSECU real estate secured products. Perform detailed member counseling over the phone or in person regarding requirements for completion of applications, supporting documents and perform appropriate follow up.
- Develop a presence within the local field of membership through outreach meetings with realtors, developers, builders, and potential customers to promote the organization's loans and develop business. Attend events such as off-site visits or business development events with marketing staff. Events can also include visits to state offices, SEG offices, conferences, conventions, educational workshops, and seminars. Participate in promoting Equity products.
- Maintain communication with processors and underwriters for loan status. Keep Realtors, builders and borrowers informed throughout the process. Responsible for maintaining and developing relationships through outreach after loans are originated.
- Perform complex calculations which may include determining Loan to Value (LTV), Principal, Interest, Taxes, and Insurance (PITI), gross monthly income ratio and overall debt ratios.
- Assess and effectively manage all the risks associated with their business objectives to ensure they adhere to and support PSECU’s risk management framework.
- Identifies and creates opportunities to sell financial solutions to customers.
MINIMUM / PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Five years of secondary market, first mortgage origination
Established relationships with multiple realtors, builders and/or affinity groups,
College degree or any equivalent combination of experience and education.
Must have a National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) unique identifier number that is valid and in good standing.
Preferred Experience:
FNMAE, DPAs, Home Equity and Construction lending
Candidate should live in the Harrisburg, Lancaster, or Lehigh Valley areas
