Job Description
Thacher seeks a part-time teacher of history for the 2023-2024 school year. This position would most likely include two sections of Honors United States History.
Responsibilities
- Teach two sections in Thacher’s history department.
- Fulfill all responsibilities of a classroom teacher, including lesson design, student support, providing timely feedback and grades, submitting midterm grades and trimester grades and comments and attending history department meetings. Professional Qualities of Thacher Faculty & Staff

Education & Experience
A Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent required. Candidates should have experience in history or humanities education, preferably at the secondary school level.
Other Requirements
A current (or ability to obtain) California driver license with a satisfactory motor vehicle record and ability to transport students in school-owned vehicles. A criminal background check must be successfully completed before employment can begin.

Salary Range
Salary Range is $25,000 - $35,000. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. Note: issues of internal equity may cause pay to fall outside of the range shown.
