About us: General practice law firm with litigation focus. Practice areas include Real Estate, Business, Personal Injury, and Trust Litigation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing legal support and guidance
- Advising clients on the best behavior while cases are pending, including confiding in family and friends and social media use
- Meeting with clients in person or via video conference to critically discuss the pending cases and strategize on how best to proceed
- Finding ethical solutions to legal matters
- Communicating with clients to understand their legal concerns and needs to help provide them with essential advice
- Strategizing on how to resolve the clients’ cases in a favorable and cost-effective manner
- Enlightening clients about legal options and making them know the possible outcomes or risks
- Developing ideal arguments and representing clients in civil legal proceedings
- Staying informed about any current legislation
- Building trustworthy relationships with clients
- Preparing legal documents such as pleadings and contracts in a timely and accurate manner
- Law & motion practice
- Assisting clients with the drafting and execution of agreements
- Collecting retainers from clients and executing Attorney Client Agreements
- Client intake
- Case management from initial court filing through trial
- Court appearances
- Trials, arbitrations, & mediations
- Legal research & writing
- Propound and respond to discovery
- Interface with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and judicial officers
Skills and Qualifications:
- California State Bar (Active member)
- Willingness to meet personally or via video with clients
- Ability to handle a high caseload
- Experience or expertise in litigation
- Exercise good judgment
- Commitment to abiding by the set laws and behaving ethically
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Excellent public speaking skills
- Adaptability and attention to detail
- Ability to work on a case independently
- Ability to work with a team of attorneys and paralegals to develop case strategies
- Ability to communicate in writing and verbally effectively
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
Pay & Benefits: $85,000 - $120,000 (DOE) + discretionary annual bonus. Competitive benefits package.
Location: 100% remote; Hybrid optional.
Billable hour requirements: 1800 billable hours per year.
Schedule: Work / life balance. Typical work hours: Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. + evenings and weekends as needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
