Paramedic
This posting is for a paramedic position at our Stroud, Oklahoma base.
Our Stroud, Oklahoma base serves the 911 needs of eastern Lincoln County, Oklahoma as part of a regional system. The service area encompasses portions of both the I-44 and I-40 corridors. The area sees a balance of medical and trauma with a call volume perfect for skill retention and development without career fatigue. Proximity to two major interstates makes Stroud an easy commute especially from the Oklahoma City or Tulsa area.

Meet Miller EMS
Miller EMS is more than your typical ambulance service and patient transport provider. We are the largest, and most diverse, Oklahoma-based private EMS and patient transport logistics provider. In addition to field EMS response, we operate the Oklahoma trauma referral center and maintain a contract to provide in-flight paramedics for a federal prisoner transport system. We are active in both inter-facility transports and pre-hospital response with multiple 911 contracts across the state.

Additionally, the applicant should be willing to expand their knowledge and skill set. The applicant should be comfortable making decisions independently and working in a high-stress environment while functioning to the extent of their scope of practice, skill set, and protocol. Applicants should be confident in their ability to treat and stabilize patients ranging from stable to extremely critical and to make appropriate destination and transport decisions regarding those patients. Miller EMS is a busy system responding to all types of EMS calls including both pre-hospital and inter-facility transports. We’re looking for those with only the best work ethic and professionalism.

Requirements:
Oklahoma licensed
Valid driver license
Current ACLS- Paramedic
Current PALS or equivalent- Paramedic
Current CPR
IS 100
IS 200
IS 700
IS 800
HAZMAT Awareness level (minimum)
Recommended:
Current EVOC
OTEP
TIMS
Selection process:
· Applicant must submit a resume to Miller EMS
· The applicant will be contacted for an interview
· The cumulative performance of the applicant during the interview, past experience, and satisfaction of the requirements listed above will be utilized to select the best candidate for the position.
· If selected as a finalist, the applicant will be required to submit to a pre-employment background check including a driving record.
