Estimator (Commercial print and mail)
Finishing & Mailing Center, a well-established but fast growing 25 year old company is looking for a dedicated, hard-working Estimator to join our Team!
In this role, your will prepare cost estimates for all functions within our company including commercial and digital printing, all bindery equipment and direct mail.
Primary duties and responsibilities for this position are:
- Analyze request for quote specifications and other documentation supplied in order to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Obtain any missing information that would be needed to quote accurately.
- Prepare estimates based on company capabilities, most efficient production plan, equipment standards, and discussion with production personnel, using the company’s ERP system, “Midnight”.
- Assist in the purchasing of raw materials including paper and other stocking items and ensuring costs are appropriately updated in our estimating and inventory management systems
- Create estimate in Midnight ERP and submit either directly to sales our CSR's.
- Attach relevant info to estimate in Midnight ERP – outside vendor info, etc.
- Remain up to date on current standards and procedures and any changes to ERP.
You will also be asked to do:
- Initiate or attend project planning meetings.
- Revise quotes as requested.
- Supply costs to CSRs and Sales as requested.
- Perform cost analysis of estimate vs. actual performance on a specific project or series of projects to determine future quoting plans, or in response to request from production/management.

- Knowledge of Printing and Mailing Industry
- A good work history with favorable references
- Excellent accuracy and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask well.
- Good computer & math skills, proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, as well as to accept direction on given assignments.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred, however, any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
- Two years of related experience and/or training expected.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
