Summary
AgroThrive is a family-owned organic fertilizer manufacturer in Gonzales, California. We convert industrial food waste into world-class organic fertilizers that are used to grow food without harmful pesticides, herbicides, and chemicals.
Our mission is to improve the health of our soil, seas, and skies by safely repurposing nutrient dense organic wastes into sustainable bio-fertilizers. You will work closely with the General Manager to plan and manage fertilizer production to meet product specifications and customer needs.
Major Responsibilities:
● Schedule employees and assign daily tasks based on production needs and equipment performance.
● Monitor employee performance and productivity.
● Provide direction, support, encouragement, and constructive feedback to team members.
● Direct, coordinate and manage all equipment maintenance, servicing, and repairs.
● Manage a maintenance shop, supplies, and equipment handling.
● Ensure daily production records are completed.
● Develop and maintain general plant operations protocol.
● Actively participate in weekly management meetings. Provide a brief report on production performance and needs.
Skills and Key Competencies:
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
● Proficient with Microsoft Office 365.
● Uncompromising commitment to ensuring the quality of all fertilizer produced and safety of all production staff.
● Experience with handling liquid materials and equipment such as pumps, pipes, hoses, inline grinders, forklifts, electric motors, VFDs, etc.
● Experience with food safety programs such as H.A.C.C.P.
● Possess strong leadership skills.
● Be a critical thinker with creative problem-solving skills.
● Ability to direct and monitor multiple projects simultaneously.
● Available to work on the weekends if absolutely necessary.
Preferred Experience:
● 3-5 years’ experience working in a liquid handling production environment.
● Strong understanding of mechanical systems.
● Strong understanding of electrical systems, industrial equipment and high voltage.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
