Job Description Responsibilities Include: Performs a variety of routine accounting functions: prepares internal and external financial reporting (i.e. National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) Form 5300, Annual Report, etc.); analyzes financial data; prepares journal entries; meets various project and reporting deadlines; and works with partners on accounting activity. Performs these activities in compliance with applicable regulatory agencies; and Company accounting policies, procedures, standards, and internal controls. Supports Senior Accountants with accounting changes issued by Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), NCUA, and any other applicable regulating agencies. Performs cash daily management, including borrowing monies, transfer of monies between accounts, and monitoring cash balances. Performs general ledger account reconciliations and, if applicable, reviews other department reconciliations for completeness, accuracy, and unresolved variances. Responsibilities include: timely review and resolution of variances, monitoring of outstanding activity, and timely communication of unresolved variances to management. Updates and, if applicable, creates procedures and/or narratives for assigned tasks. Including, but not limited to: background, key controls, system reports, frequency of process, process flows, etc. Provide support on assigned projects by taking notes, perform testing, present testing results to project team, and document project for Accounting Team reference. Performs ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Senior(s), Assistant Controller, Controller, VP Accounting and Finance, and Chief Financial Officer.
