Associate – Technical Design
Natick, MA
This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days of in-office work, 2 days WFH.

The Associate Technical Designer will play a critical role as you help to construct the technical specifications packets, creates fit comments during fittings and inputs formal written/visual comments in PLM. As part of a creative, busy, and very fast paced team, you’ll support the Technical Designers in the management of the fit process, and well as develop accurate specs and construction details. Responsible for assisting in the day-to-day functions of the Technical Design Department. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Job Responsibilities:
· Track and log in all incoming fit samples
· Measure and prepare samples for fit meetings
· Support Technical Designers in the management of the fit process
· Take detailed notes in model fittings under the supervision of the Technical Designer.
· Collaborate with Designers to develop new styles and create technical packages
· Conduct fittings to evaluate style, construction and fit of samples
· Assist Technical Designers in the development of accurate specs and construction details and issuing to the factory
· Communicate to factories any fit and construction corrections needed for production.
· Proactive follow up of samples with the Production Team and factories to ensure that calendar deadlines are met
· Pull size runs to ensure production samples meet all specifications
Skills + Experiences:
· 1 to 2 years of Technical Design experience in the apparel field
· Powerful organizational skills, incredibly detail oriented
· Strong communication skills
· Ability to sketch
· Accuracy in measuring
· Working knowledge of garment/fit construction, patterns, process, and timelines
· Efficient, self-motivated and takes initiative to complete projects on time and with precision
· Computer skills: Microsoft, Excel, Word, Adobe Illustrator. Knowledge of PLM system a plus
· Team player, flexible and able to prioritize and multitask
· Upbeat, positive attitude with a collaborative spirit
