Aldersgate Center for Child Development (ACCD) is a Great Start 4 Star accredited center and licensed with the State of Michigan located in Northeast Grand Rapids. Established in 1977, our mission is to provide high quality childcare, to support, encourage and nurture healthy development of children and families in a safe and loving setting. We promote value and respect for the natural environment and for each other. ACCD is housed in the Aldersgate United Methodist Church but is non-sectarian and non-profit.
Responsibilities:
Supervise child care teachers, administer programs, implement policy and maintain ongoing communication with the Board of Directors.
Hire staff and coordinate training to meet the criteria of state licensing and Great Start to Quality rating system.
Monitor daily classroom management and curriculum implementation.
Manage staff scheduling to maintain classroom ratios.
Ensure compliance with all state licensing and Great Start requirements.
Oversee Billing, completed weekly(Includes tuition billing and DHHS)
Complete monthly government food program billing and reports.
Oversee online marketing, including timely maintenance of the ACCD website.
Actively engage children, parents, staff and the community to maintain and grow enrollment.
Be a professional, positive, and energetic role model for staff and children.
Requirements:
BA/BS in education, ECE or ZA endorsement preferred, as well, as required Licensing course work for Directors.
2+ years’ experience in center-based childcare setting
Red Cross First Aid Card (within 90 days of employment)
Facilitate Staff training required by Licensing.
Child and adult CPR (within 90 days of employment)
Skills in organization, leadership, management, marketing
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability and willingness to lead activities in indoor and outdoor classrooms
Computer literacy including Word, Excel, Email, Brightwheel
Enthusiasm, flexibility, adaptability, ability to work within complex situations.

Beginning salary
$45,000 t0 48,000 with Signing Bonus
