Job Summary:
Are you passionate about your career as an electrician? Would you like to be instrumental in bringing up the next generation of electrical apprentices? Southeast Michigan Construction Academy (SEMCA) is seeking a master level electrician or experienced journeyman who would like to give back to the trade by sharing their knowledge and expertise with apprentices.
This instructor would teach part-time, two evenings per week, at our Madison Heights campus. Classes begin in late August and are held on either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday, 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM.
Pay: $45 per hour.
Previous classroom experience is not required. Paid instructor training will be provided. Curriculum and resources are provided.
School Overview:
Southeast Michigan Construction Academy offers programs in electrical, carpentry, welding and HVAC. SEMCA has been instructing apprentices in the skilled trades for over 30 years.
Requirements:
- Master-level or experienced journeyman electrician with current license
- Ability to work in the evening
- Computer literacy
- Inspired to teach the next generation of electricians
