The Developmental Educator/Early Interventionist is part of Children’s Integrated Services, an interdisciplinary team of health, early childhood mental health, education, and social service professionals building families’ capacity to support their children. They will work with children birth to age 3 and their families, supporting child development at home and in the commuity.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide full range of early intervention services to children and families in the child’s natural setting.
  • Provide service coordination for selected families, including consultations with other service providers as needed.
  • Serve as a member of the Early Intervention Team, which includes Winston Prouty Center staff, the supervisory unions and the early childhood community programs.
  • Work with early educators and administrators in coordinating and delivering services to families, including transitions from CIS EI to 3 year old programs.
  • Provide support to teachers and child care providers working directly with children on One Plan.
  • Model family-centered practice.
  • Provide data on children and families as determined by federal and state guidelines, including Medicaid billing.
  • Participate in outreach and education activities community agencies, programs and organizations, to facilitate the referral process and to develop collaborative relationships with community resources.
  • Attend statewide support and training meetings of Children’s Integrated Services.

A Bachelor’s degree is required. Knowledge of infant/toddler development, especially around feeding, regulation, and social communication is a plus. Pay commensurate with experience.
